Our Journey
BCM grew out of more than three decades of working inside the realities of addiction, psychiatric instability, family crisis, intervention, investigation, and long term recovery management. Over the years, I became increasingly aware that the most difficult cases rarely belonged to a single discipline. Families were often moving between therapists, treatment programs, physicians, attorneys, hospitals, investigators, and crisis services, with each professional seeing only one part of the problem. What was missing was someone responsible for understanding the entire situation, connecting the disciplines, identifying the risks, and creating a strategy that could evolve as the crisis changed. My own work gradually moved in that direction, combining behavioral health, criminology, crisis intervention, case management, investigative methodology, and decades of direct experience with individuals and families in high consequence situations. BCM was created from that convergence. It reflects my belief that effective crisis management begins before the intervention itself, with careful assessment, observation, and an understanding of the person within the larger system surrounding them. The goal was never to create another treatment company. It was to create a structure capable of managing complexity when the existing structures were no longer enough.
